Books! 

I love reading & I love when I get to share some of my favorite books! Most of the books I read fall under the "Christian Life" section in a book store but every now and then you will find me reading leadership books, biographies, or a fun mystery book. What book should I read next? 

Deep Change - Robert Quinn 

I believe this book should be read by every leader. Whether you are in the midst of change, or not Deep Change will revolutionize the way you view change. As a person who previously despised change, this book has radically changed my thinking and is absolutely a must read! 

Destined to Win - Kris vallotton

Destined to Win is an empowering book that helps you to recognize your God given talents and abilities. We have all been created on purpose, for a purpose. This book brings clarity to the type of community we need to surround ourself with, so that we can live out our Kingdom purpose. 

God is good - Bill johnson

5/5 reccomendation and an absolute must read! In a world full of pain, hurt, and evil it is easy to wonder how God could possibly good in the midst of it all. My copy of this book is heavily underlined and highlighted. It is well worn and loved!  

Hallelujah Anyway: rediscovering mercy - anne lamott

This was the first book I have read by well known author Anne Lamott. Known for her unique style of writing, she doesn't disappoint here. Sharing a variety of personal stories she discusses the overwhelming need for mercy in our life. 

The lucky few - heather avis

This book, this author, and this crew are dear to my heart! Heather is a phenomenal writer and this book will hook you from the very beginning. I love how Heather has beautifully shared her heartbreaking testimony leading her to the most beautiful and scary yes! She graciously reminds us that the only yes we should be saying is to God our Father. It is a quick read, because you won't want to do anything else until you know how it ends! Read this book if you are looking for inspiration or are feeling called out of your comfort zone! #theluckyfew

The meaning of marriage - timothy keller

Yes, 1000x yes this book is a must read for anyone who is in any type of relationship. Yes, I mean any relationship...basically everyone should read this book. While the overarching theme of Keller's book revolves around marriage, there are insights that are effective in friendships & family relationships, as well. Keller says, "To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God." Do yourself and your community a favor grab a copy, lend a copy and watch your relationships strengthen and your authentic community grow! 

Play with Fire - Bianca Juarez olthoff 

Bianca is a riot! One of the many reasons I love this book is because it feels as though you are having a conversation with a long time friend! In Play With Fire, Bianca has articulately shared her story and woven the heart of God from cover to cover. Laugh until you cry, and cry until you laugh. This book will make you feel all the feels and challenge you to a deeper relationship with God! 

Selfless - megan fate marshmann

"Your past will be either Satan's greatest weapon against you or God's most powerful tool for His glory." The truth wrapped in these pages will leave you feeling encouraged and reminded to continually look up before we try and look out! 

Shifting atmospheres - dawna de silva

As I looked back at this book to write a short review, I realized I have underlined more of this book than not. If you want a solid book about the spiritual atmosphere around us, than look no further. Dawna does a great job of introducing the reader to spiritual warfare and partnering the individual with best next steps to move forward and take control of the atmosphere around them! 

spirit wars - kris vallotton

I 100% recommend this book! "...you do not always have power over what happens to you, but you do have complete control over what happens in you." The book is filled with great nuggets of wisdom and undeniable truths. Bringing the power of the Gospel to the center of his writing, Kris equips with you confidence and knowledge to tackle the spiritual battle around you! 

unashamed - christine caine

If you are in a season of feeling stuck and unable to move forward from your past, than pick up a copy of Unashamed. Chris has done a great job in utilizing her story to share how freedom truly is possible, regardless of your circumstance!
